Since its inception in 1958, The North Shore Winter Club has been recognized internationally for its athletics. Members enjoy a wide variety of programs in addition to tennis including Minor Hockey, Men's Hockey, Figure Skating, Ringette, Curling, Squash, Racquetball and Fitness. Summertime activities include swimming in the outdoor pool. The Club is committed to the development of its members through quality leisure and recreation services provided year round while maintaining its affordability. The club currently has approximately 700 active memberships combined in the family, couple or single categories, giving the club over 2000 active members.

Seven permanent indoor hard courts and four outdoor hard courts as well as two Squash and three Racquetball courts. Full locker room facilities including steam room, sauna and hot tub, weight, aerobics and training rooms. There are two skating arenas, eight sheets of curling ice and seasonal outdoor pool. Food and beverage services are provided by the Club Cafe, View Point bar and lounge, Curling bar and lounge and the Tike Deck (summer only). There is also a sports lounge with pool and billiard tables, TV viewing areas, a youth room, banquet facilities and Loving Daycare.

Comprehensive tennis instructional programs are offered year round by Head Pro Fabio Walker and his assistants Nash Vuletic, Chad Warren, Robert Exell, Paul Shellard, Chris Stead and Jerry Turek. The club runs many social programs including Friday Night Swingers, New Members Mixers, Theme Nights, Family-Junior match play and the Wilson Junior Tennis League. The club also fields a variety of ladies' and men's teams which participate in inter-club league play throughout the year.
